Caren Zane, A Cape Cod based artist, fills her pockets with remnants from the sea. Her coastal life is intertwined with her painting process; rooted in the ebb and flow of discovery and reflection and the unknown .

Her work breathes new life into the found empty shells, connecting her process with the cyclical nature of existence. Her painting fills the hollow emptiness of the past with an eruption of the eternal universe of ink and watercolor.

Caren, is hopeful that the sea-life that she is passionate about, which are, potentially in danger due to scientific research will persevere through evolution.
