Students will learn about the process of creating mosaics; from the use of color and placement of tiles to composition of the overall piece. We use mostly glass tiles but incorporate other materials.

Students will also learn about the technical aspects of cutting glass, grouting and other aspects about mosaics. Through instruction, demonstrations, and lots of hands-on time, students will come out of the session with a lovely piece of art.. 

Sketches , photos, or any kinds of images that you love  should be brought  to your first class, We can also converse before hand about your project. All mosaic materials are included and a one time 45 minute introduction.Students will complete an 8×8 square or a similar size mosaic panel.

The sessions are six weeks on Tuesday days 10-1 and on Wednesday nights 6-9. There is a make- up week in between each session. Come with an idea in mind for your imagery, anything from realistic, abstract, to decorative, or find inspiration from one of my mosaic source books. These classes are ideal for beginners and for those who have experience but, are looking to push their work further. Classes can be tailored for all levels. 3 person minimum for a class to run. Classes take place in a bright and comfortable studio in Brookline, MA.

I am also teaching virtually for those of you who are not comfortable in person yet. I am teaching people all over the world and it is a great experience.
